How do I register with 99desk.com?

Simply fill out a short registration form which includes basic inputs from your side. You have to choose a unique username which will be used as your identify on 99desk.com. No personal information is requested. All the information provided by you will remain secure with us.
On successful submission of registration form, an email containing a link will be sent to your email address submitted with 99desk.com. You must follow the instructions in the email to activate your account.

Is this paid to Signup with 99desk.com?

Its 100% free to register with 99desk.com. There is no registration fee or hidden charges at all.

After registration, I am a buyer or a provider?

This is a common registration for all. After registration, you can work as a service provider or a service buyer. 99desk.com provides both options to all its to maintain their profile as Buyer and Seller.

How do I cancel my account with 99desk.com

At any moment, if you wish to cancel your account with us, simply login at 99desk.com, navigate to ‘Contact us’ page and submit a ticket with us for account cancellation. On your request your account will be permanently closed with 99desk.com. Please note there should be no credit / dues pending either with 99desk.com or any of its users.

How does 99desk.com work for Employers/ Service buyers?

It’s quite easy. Just follow the following steps:

• Get registered with 99desk.com.
• Build your profile as Service buyer (optional but recommended).
• Post your project.
• Review Bids / proposals from service providers.
• Communicate with various service providers via Private/ Public messaging system on 99desk.com before awarding the project.
• Select your service provider best for your job/ project posting.
• Make secure payments to your service provider by 99desk.com
• Submit feedback after 100% completion of job/ project.
• Close the project.

Do I need to pay fee for project posting?

No. It’s free to post project with 99desk.com. Project posting require bid(s). All users receive 50 free bids in there account every month. Service buyer can use these bids for project posting.

How do I select a service provider for my project?

We recommend going through the service provider reviews/ feedbacks and the previous sample work done before awarding your project. Once you are satisfied, follow the steps given below to award the project to selected service provider:

• Login to 99desk.com
• Click on Manage – Buyer activities in main menu
• Click on My posted projects
• Click on the project you wish to award.
• On the list of bids/ proposals received against selected project, selected a specific service provider bid, and declare that bid as the winning bid.

How can I ask questions before selecting providers?

Before awarding the project, use Private/ Public Message Board to discuss any details with potential providers before you make your selections. To access the Private Message board:

• Log in to 99desk.com
• Click on Manage – Buyer activities
• Select the correct project
• Use private/ public messaging system.

How do I cancel a project?

Log in to 99desk.com, click on ‘contact us’ and request for project cancellation. Your request will be processed within 2-3 business days and all pending dues/ funds will be returned to your account.

How do I rate and write a review for a Service Provider?

Once the project in question is completed and Service provider is paid the full amount of his or her work through 99desk.com, the feedback option for that project will become available. In order to rate a service provider navigates through Manage – Buyer activities – Select the concerning project – Close project. Please note that after the feedback and rating system project will be permanently closed on 99desk.com.

Can I make an advance payment to a Service Provider?

99desk.com does not recommend you making any advance payments. 99desk.com assumes no responsibility for any loss of funds due to advance payments. In case of an advance payment (partial payments) is agreed for big budget projects, we highly recommend read out service provider previous feedbacks to ensure well-trusted providers. Always use our Milestone Payments system to transfer funds to the service provider.

How do I deposit money into my account?

You can deposit funds to your 99desk.com account any time from your Pay pal account, or by using your credit card.
To make a deposit use the following steps:

• Log in to your account on 99desk.com
• Click on “My Account”
• Click the “Payments” button
• Click on “Deposit money”
• Enter an amount
• Click the “Next” button and follow the on-screen instructions.

Do I have to deposit funds to select a Freelancer?

No. In order to select a service provider, you don’t need to deposit any funds with 99desk.com. In case the selected service provider asks for the funds to be added in Escrow, then you need to make the Escrow payment.

How do I cancel a Partial/ Milestone Payment?

For the protection of Service Providers, partial Payments cannot be cancelled by the service buyer side. If you feel that Provider isn’t entitled to a Milestone Payment, you should first contact the Provider to request Escrow payment cancellation. If an agreement cannot be reached, please feel free to contact 99desk.com support team to resolve the dispute.

How do I transfer funds to service provider account?

• Login to your 99desk.com account.
• Click on Payments – Transfer funds
• Type ‘payment title’
• Type the ‘user name’ and project ID correctly.
• Click on transfer funds.

Why is my account de-active or temporary suspended?

> Your account may be suspended due to following reasons:

• Posting contact information: Posting your contact information or any URL to your contact information may leads to account suspension.
• Posting invalid or disallowed content in a project description, bid or in the private/ public message boards.
• Creation of multiple accounts on 99desk.com.
• Any other action that violates 99desk.com Terms of Service may result in account suspension or termination.

How does Freelancer.com work for Service Providers?

• Register with 99desk.com
• Build your profile and portfolio as Service provider.
• Search for the project matching your skill set.
• Submit the proposals/ bids with buyers.
• Communicate via Private/ public message board.
• Accept project awards when selected by Buyer.
• Complete the projects according to your agreement signed with your Employer.
• Accept payments via 99desk.com
• Submit feedback before closing the project on 99desk.com

How do I rate and write a review for a Service Buyer?

Once the project in question is completed and Service Buyer had paid the full amount of his or her work through 99desk.com, the feedback option for that project will become available. How do I work on the project?

The entire project posted on 99desk.com will be worked upon external to 99desk.com You may deliver a project by any method agreed upon by you and your Employer. Depending on the project, options may include upload to the Buyer’s hosting account, email, and more. Once the project is awarded, you may make direct communication with your buyer.

How do I submit a bid/ proposal on a project?

Please follow the steps given below:

• Login to your account with 99desk.com
• Search for the project matching your skill set.
• Place the bid/ submit your proposal with service buyer.

Can I modify a bid I've already submitted?

Yes. You may edit your bid any time before the project closing date. In order to modify your bid/ proposal please follow the steps given below:

• Log in to 99desk.com
• Click on Projects – Bid History
• Select the project on which you wish to modify your bid.
• Place bid on it once more.

Note: Modifying the previous bid does not require additional bids to be consumed.

What fees will I pay as a Service Provider?

Making registration with 99desk.com is completely free. 99desk.com charge 4% of the amount (Project value) you received from your buyer.

When will you process my withdrawal?

In general we process all withdrawals in 7 business days.

Why is my account de-active or temporary suspended?

Your account may be suspended due to following reasons:

• Posting contact information: Posting your contact information or any URL to your contact information may leads to account suspension.
• Posting invalid or disallowed content in a project description, bid or in the private/ public message boards.
• Creation of multiple accounts on 99desk.com.
• You account balance is negative for more than 30 days.
• Any other action that violates 99desk.com Terms of Service may result in account suspension or termination.

How much I need to pay for bidding?

Placing bids on the project is free with 99desk.com. In general 99desk.com provides 50 free bids to all users every month. In case you need to bid on more projects, please buy addition bid packs available on 99desk.com.

How do I cancel a Partial/ Milestone Payment?

Partial Payments can be cancelled by the service provider side.
• Login to your account on 99desk.com
• Click on payments – Upcoming payments
• Select the project for which you wish to cancel the amount available in Escrow.

If an agreement cannot be reached, please feel free to contact 99desk.com support team to resolve the dispute.
